Laney Wylde is enamored with all things southern California--the traffic, smog, surprise earthquakes, and nonindigenous palm trees. Consequently, it's the landscape her strong and sometimes lovable female leads paint their stories on. Her award-winning debut, Never Touched, and the After Twelve series are bright with provocative themes, steamy romance, and inappropriately timed humor. She also has another book, When Light Shatters, which is hella weird.
When Laney isn't writing, she paints and teaches her five-year-old math and other shit kids have to learn. Life as a starving artist/single mom affords Laney unique opportunities to help the environment, such as conserving water through lack of hair-washing and shrinking landfills by taping trash to canvases and calling it art. Her other hobbies include staying up-to-date on politics through late night TV and snuggling her cats despite their palpable reluctance |
