Melissa grew up in a small town in the U.K. and has been an avid bookworm since childhood. She began writing short stories at the age of seven and - despite the fact that no one seemed interested in publishing a story about a rabbit who made ice skates out of kitchen utensils - her love of writing grew from there. Melissa wrote the first draft of her debut novel, 'Alive?,' at 16.
